However, the summer transfer window closes in under two weeks, complicating the process.
Competition for Salinas
The player has also been linked with Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid. However, Atlético rejected a £12m offer, allowing United to accelerate negotiations. The Spanish club offered a contract extension until 2029, but Salinas remains firm in his desire to move in the final window. Atlético has set a deadline this weekend, threatening to leave the player free if no deal is reached.
